New RCMP Member

We are pleased to announce that the vacant RCMP Livestock Investigator position has been filled, Constable Lyle Korver was the successful candidate and will join Corporal Lindsey Anderson in serving the Alberta livestock industry.

Prior to his career with the RCMP Lyle worked at a variety of jobs from which I learned skills and gained valuable life experiences. Lyle grew up and worked on dairy and beef farms, he has also worked at a custom feed lot and later a 400 head cow calf operation. Lyle also worked in the oilfield industry and as a journeyman carpenter. Before joining the RCMP Lyle was working on his family’s cow calf operation where they also did custom farming. During that time Lyle started his own herd of cattle and rented land to custom graze yearlings.

Lyle has 15.5 years service with the RCMP, serving in Pincher Creek, Olds, and Airdrie, and working on multiple complex investigations. In December 2019, Lyle transferred to the Major Crimes Unit where he worked in a variety of roles on homicide investigations.

We welcome Lyle to the LIS team; he will be a definite asset to the position with his industry knowledge and background along with his varied RCMP experience. Lyle has gone through the mentorship program with Serious Crimes Branch and assisted us with the ILIA conference in 2019. Lyle is familiar with the Livestock Investigator position and is very excited to start.
